I already posted about how to announce external blog posts at Facebook, but what if you also want to announce them in Twitter? Well, using Yahoo Pipes again, it is quite easy.

Ubuntu 9.10 Netbook Remix on the Asus Eee PC 1005HA
I was already briefly reviewing my new netbook, the Asus Eee PC 1005HA, but now I want to show how to get a fully working Ubuntu Netbook Remix installation by tweaking some minor things. And with "fully" I mean "everything works", including the internal microphone and all function keys!

However, using Yahoo Pipes, I found a way to do just this.

Sharing mouse and keyboard between computers using Synergy
Yesterday the new computers in our "stage room" arrived, and while they only feature a Windows XP installation I have to use one of them occasionally for working with Windows-only software. Since I also use my Ubuntu laptop for the usual everyday stuff, I wanted to use Synergy to share the keyboard and mouse between both computers. Doing this over the network of the university, I additionally wanted to tunnel everything through SSH since Synergy itself does not offer any encryption.
